Utica witnessed two important periods :
- ​Phoenician period
- ​Roman period .
The Phoenician period : there are few traces of this period . Walls were built of stones and raw bricks , the floors were paved . Punic type cisterns were narrow and long in shapes with rounded ends .
The Roman period : this period is famous with temples , Amphitheatre , great baths and circus .

Some pupils from Utique Secondary School – 4th year economics and arts – decided to paint and decorate their classes themselves . They bought the necessary materials and met Saturday afternoon when they paint their classes with wonderful colors , the put curtains on the windows and pinned some pictures . The result was magnificent ; they had beautiful classes . we asked them why did they decide to paint their classes , they said that they want to make a new place that encourage them to study . Others said that they were proud with the result and they want just to be different from other pupils .
Two other pupils HoussemBeya and Farah Mejri decides to decorate the courtyards of the schools with beautiful paintings .

A group of officers from our Secondary School 10th of April to meet 4th year pupils and to present possibilities of education and training within our armed forces ​
Pupils coming to this forum were numerous and they listened to high officers who explained the roles of military forces and higher education , which is based on the organization of engineering education . The cadets receive military training in parallel together then referred to training in National Military Academies . It provides also vocational training systems benefiting both the calls and civilians who undergo training in the army .
